Polymer Clay Chandelier Earrings - Kit-kit-dizze No. 2
These embossed polymer clay earrings have one of my favorite plants pressed into the clay. Kit-kit-dizze is part of the rose family and its leaves resemble that of a fern. This plant is a California native and I had pressed a couple of these sprigs when I was a teenager after finding them on a hike. I have managed to hold on to these sprigs over the years, but they are too delicate to press into clay. Not too long ago I found an artist who created a mold with a much larger piece of this lovely plant and that is the mold I use to press into the clay for these stark white earrings.
The clay pieces are cradled with hammered raw brass and made with french ear hooks I shape and hammer by hand.
These earrings are made to order and each pair will look slightly different than the pair pictured.
Earrings made up of polymer clay and raw brass components. Measure at approximately 2" from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the wire.
